Pearl District, Portland Oregon

It’s been a little while since we’ve seen those long summer days that I certainly miss quite a bit. This shoot was on one of the very last (very) sunny days last October. Shot at a pumpkin farm on Roy Rogers Road just out of Portland.

Most photographers I know who have been around for a while have a closest full of old camera bags. Its taken me a while to discover my ideal setup. I roll with a Think Tank Airport International and a LowePro D300.
The Think Tank totally locks up, so instead of leaving it a trunk, lock it to the trunk (inside of course). The lowepro usually stays with me (while I travel or on a shoot) and I usually carry my 5D with the 50mm f1.2, a 28mm f1.8 & a flash & 2 pocket wizards in that guy. That way I have my main camera on me all the time, and my back up not far away.
I just got back from shooting in Maui where this setup totally killed it. Check out some images from the trip.

Taking a helicoptor to get some different angles.

Since I am first and foremost a wedding photographer, I thought I’d take a second to share some of our favorite images from 08. Drop me a line if your interested in seeing or hearing more.
